  • I love that everyone has a story to share. I glimpse something in the people I photograph: a part of their lives, a part of their story. My love for photography goes back as far as I can recall; from my childhood photo albums and scrapbooks to my first professional camera before college. Always coexisting with my interest for photography was my love for studying people and their narratives; the latter led me to a liberal arts degree in Social Relations, but the former would eventually become my passion. Clients and peers have dubbed my work “modern and romantic” with fresh and radiant colors. If you ask me, I just like to tell a good story through pictures. My love for photography and sociology is a beautiful mixture for creating precious memories and capturing details of everyday life. Everyone has a story—I can’t wait to document yours. -Jacqui

Angie + Brian: Northville, Mi Engagement Session

Angie and Brian booked me over email– so I was so excited to meet them last week at their Engagement session! They have such great chemistry, and Brian kept all of us laughing. It was suppose to thunderstorm all day, but luckily, we dodged the rain by about a half hour! ! Here is a sneak peak of their shoot:

cheers!

Laura + Jason: A Lansing, Michigan Wedding

Laura and Jason were married at the beautiful St. Mary’s Cathedral in Downtown Lansing.  Their adorable son, Brennan, was the world’s cutest ring bearer. Since Laura works across the street from the Capital, we braved the cold for lots of pictures at the building with the entire wedding party. Jason is a huge State Fan–the bridesmaid’s talked the stadium security into letting us take pictures on the field. It was such a great day; CONGRATS you two!!!

Carol & Jim: A Dearborn Inn Wedding

It was such a pleasure to photograph Carol and Jim’s wedding.  There was so much love and joy in the air; it was palpable!  Carol works at the Dearborn Inn, and Jim is the Captain of the Dearborn Fire Department.  The Inn was a buzz with excitement for Carol’s big day. I could hear the kitchen staff, wait staff, dining staff, front desk…and all over…talking about how excited they were for her. You could tell how much they were loved.  Everyone couldn’t wait for Jim to show up in the firetruck. Their daughters couldn’t stop smiling.  It was such a beautiful wedding…thanks so much for letting me be a small part of it. Here is a sneak peak:

Jess + Kalil: Engagement Session in Ann Arbor

Kalil and Jess picked the perfect winter day for their engagement shoot. It was snowy, sunny, and just gorgeous outside.  We froze; but it was worth it! They are huge State Fans (GO GREEN!) and they decided to bust out their best tailgating gear in the middle of U of M’s campus. Please check out Jess’s amazing State Boots…where can I get these?  I was slightly afraid that we would get some snowballs whipped at us, but Wolverines are much nicer than Spartans apparently! It was a great day and I am so happy for these two!

Eric + Erika: A Dearborn Inn Wedding

Eric and Erika’s wedding was on a beautiful winter day. The Dearborn Inn is an amazing venue and the Christmas decor was gorgeous! Congrats you two, have a great time in St. Lucia!!
